Basic Subject-Verb Agreement

Introduction
On the DSAT, it's important to be able to identify the subject of a sentence for two key reasons:
- All sentences have subjects, so being able to identify subjects can help you determine whether or not a group of words is a sentence. This is one of the central skills tested on the DSAT.
- Identifying the subject of a sentence makes it easy to answer subject-verb agreement questions.
💡 TipIf your time is limited, you can learn to solve subject-verb agreement questions using a shortcut called the "They / It Test" in Lesson 10: Advanced Subject-Verb Agreement. This technique will allow you to solve 80% of subject-verb agreement questions.
