Advanced Subject-Verb Agreement
In this lesson, you will learn to
- Tackle complex agreement issues, including compound subjects and inverted sentences
- Identify dummy subjects, gerunds, and noun clauses as subjects, as well as subject-verb agreement issues in relative clauses
- Determine whether pronouns and fractions are singular or plural
- Solve subject-verb agreement questions using a shortcut called the "They / It" Test
Introduction
In Lesson 9: Basic Subject-Verb Agreement, you learned to identify some common types of subjects and solve the most frequently tested subject-verb agreement issues.
In this lesson, you will learn about more complicated issues, including compound subjects and inverted sentence structure.
Next, you will learn a powerful technique, called the "They / It Test," which will allow you to solve most DSAT subject-verb agreement questions quickly and easily.
